Meet our Loft Artists
Creative Director, Resident Artist
Lydia C is an award winning artist and self proclaimed "late bloomer." Her career at The Loft started in 2017 when it was the Jed Dorsey Fine Art Studio. Jed invited her to paint live one day a week. Over time, Jed founded Acrylic University online which resulted in Lydia taking over the space for Camano Commons and rebranding to The Loft.
Lydia is a visual storyteller and uses whatever media tells the story she has on her heart. She is best known for her pieces that incorporate vintage music into the canvas. She is the happy wife of Rich Crouch. They have two grown children, Davis and Laina, who remain a delight to them.
You can usually find Lydia up in The Loft, WED-FRI 10:00am-3:00pm
Current Featured Artist
Jani, an award-winning water media/graphite artist from Port Orchard, Washington, paints and draws expressive portraits of animals and people in a painterly style called, "Impressionistic Realism". This style is a loose, colorful, and an expressive sweet spot between realism and impressionism.
"There is no real formula that I follow to achieve this forever challenging style. It's like a treasure hunt and like any good treasure hunt, when I hit that beautiful, sweet spot, I feel like I've hit gold."
