Do you ever work really hard at something only to have it not work? Maybe you don't have the skills needed - yet. Maybe you begin to doubt yourself. "Do I really have anything to say?" "Why would anyone want to read what I have to say? I'm just a ________(fill in the blank)."
Sometimes I sit here and think, "What has possessed me to want to write?"
But here's the deal.
I'm doing this - call me selfish - mostly for me.
There are just so many things I don't want to forget. Things I want to give God credit for. I don't want to be the one he heals and then runs off to do my own thing. I want to be the one who gives thanks.
My mom lives with us in an apartment attached to our house. She's 93. People are always shocked! She looks and acts much younger. She's totally alert!!! She said today, "I'm convinced the key to staying healthy is thankfulness. The minute you give thanks, you instantly feel better. It just does something to you."
So, dear reader - if anyone actually reads this - I'm just here to be thankful out loud.
You're welcome to join me. Two thankful people can only breed joy!
