Day 20: This is getting real

Up to now, all my research has been ethereal or philosophical. Now it's time to let it all become concrete. I feel like this baby fawn on our road today. Mama was right behind her, but she was exploring. She fit much more naturally into the woods, but she had to learn that for herself. She's not a mainstream kinda girl, but she's not afraid to check it out.

Now I have to use 3 words for my style at work, social and weekend.

It's helpful to separate those areas. I think special events are within social? Anyway, here's what I came up with:

WORK: artistic, romantic, boyfriend

Basics: oversize shirts, thrifted soft boho, comfy denim (boyfriend)

SOCIAL LIFE: effortless, chic (European), poetic/feminine

Basics: maxi skirts, wide leg pants, boyfriend jeans • cute flats in fun colors • poetic tops or feminine button downs, totally feminine

WEEKEND: boyfriend baggie, soft fabric, sweaters rather than sweatshirts

Basics: joggers, ripped jeans, soft sweaters and v-neck tees, clogs and sneakers, soft socks

SHOPPING LIST:

BASICS:

• boyfriend jeans, 34x30

• maxi skirt to dress up or down,

• ecru tank/tee/buttondown,

• navy or burgundy belt with silver buckle,

• wool coat in Summer color

• travel friendly/no show under things

• ridged white ankle socks

• my personal black dress slacks (navy or wine)

• pale blush button down

PERSONAL STYLE:

• poetic tops (European style),

• high end merino wool in my best colors,

• maxi trench coat,

• amazing flats in red or other accent colors (wine, blue, paris pink) with a feminine cutout/blow.

• 3 lipsticks (my personal red, rose and light pink), short silver necklace,

• special artisan silver earrings (larger scale)

• convertible tote/backpack

• fix my baby pearl necklace

• remake my dad's ruby ring
